Vernon Cornwell Inmate #10826 Leavenworth Federal Prison.
In 1916 He was convicted of theft from an inter-state shipment and sentenced to 18 months. He worked in Detroit, Michigan as an automaker at the time. I found some newspaper articles on his crime.

I believe he is Vernon Lloyd Cornwell born 27 Sep 1887 in Canada and worked for the Ford Company. Below is a U.S. WWII Draft Card.
He married shortly after leaving prison 13 Jan 1921 to Mildred Bauer in Detroit, MI, and he died in 1965.
I wonder why he sole it. he had a good job, the income I would think was good as Ford paid their worker well.
