Mary Catherine LeBlowitz: 13-Year-Old Murdered Unsolved

Mary Catherine Le Blowitz was born on September 13, 1888, in Australia and tragically murdered on December 26, 1899, in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland.

Her father, a well-known prospector, had gained fame from a sensational gold discovery a decade earlier. That afternoon, around 4 p.m., she left home with her dog to gather firewood but never returned—though her dog did. Nearby, investigators found a man’s footprints and horse tracks. Her body was discovered with two stab wounds to the left breast, penetrating her lungs, and showed signs of brutal and vicious hacking. Her body was found by her father on Wednesday.

One suspect Billy Broome (black tracker).

I only found newspaper articles on her murder, click the links below to read.

Such a sad story and that it's still unsolved and will never be is even sadder.
