They moved to San Fransico where Dee was a Porter. He got into some more trouble, this time with a man named William Samford over a girl. Dee what were you thinking, you were married. But another article said William was a boarder in Dee's home and shot in self-defense.
Dee seemed to stay out of trouble after that and lived a long hopefully happy life. He died 3 Oct 1960 in San Fransico; CA.
In 1930 he is a porter on a train and 1940 he is still a porter. And in 1950 he is living in a room at Hotel I think it's the National Hotel on 397 4th Street in San Fransico. Says he is unable to work; he is married but she is not listed with him.
