Erby Lee Nicholson: Extensive Criminal Career 1925-1952

Erby Lee Nicholson was born 4 Mar 1907 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Monrow Washington Nicholson (1875-1927) & Lona Newman (1891-1987).

Inmate: #24801 Folsom Prison
Rec: 28 Mar 1944
Crime: Vio Sec 245 Pc (Assault by bodily harm)
Sentenced: 0-10 Years

He was then transferred to San Quentin Prison, this was very common and may still be.

Here's the research I did on his crimes:

1925 he was in the Oklahoma State Prison in McAlester for Larceny and recieved one year.

1926 he was in again same place for Forgery and recieved seven months

1928 He was in Tucker State Farm in Tucker, Arkansas for forgery recieved eleven months.

1930 He was back in the Oklahoma State Prison in McAlester for Burglary, recieved two years.

1933 in Oklahoma a newspaper article said he was charged with burglary and auto larceny. (see newspaper article below)

The 1952 conviction I could not get as California State Prison records on Ancestry only go to 1950

I believe he had a wife as his prison record states he was divorced but when I went looking there is also a man named Irby so I did not add any information in case it is wrong.

Here's a postcard photo I found on Wikipedia for the Oklahoma State Prison.
