Maury I. Diggs Was born 21 May 1886 in Woodland, CA. to Irvin Pitt Diggs (1858-1922) & Nora Lasley (1862-1925). He had two brothers Ashby & Roy.
He first married Lina Kincheloe (1888-1979). They had a daughter Evelyn.
He was an Architect and helped design, plan or work on many projects here are a few.

The story started in 1913 with a girl names Marsha Warrington. By the time it was finished four years later, ripples from the scandal had created a firestorm between Democrats and Republicans in Congress and had ended in the resignation of a White House official.
Maury Diggs, 26, was arrested along with his politically connected buddy, Farley Drew Caminetti, also in his 20s, for what was called “white slave trafficking.” Which meant taking a woman across state lines to have sex, most of the time they were prostitutes, but the Mann Act also states having sex without being married to the person. Maury was married, but he was cheating.

“I am not guilty of being a white slaver,” Diggs wrote in 1917. “If every man that committed the same crime was put in jail there would not be many people out of doors.”
After the Supreme Court decision against him, Diggs wrote that the “government has broken me, taken everything I own, and stripped me to the bone. Yet I have been able by my own efforts to buy my own home and re-establish myself.”
He might be impressed by all that goes on in the Fox Theater and other places he built and helped build.
He was a character.
