Rose Salone Beiter was born 13 Mar 1891 in Zoar, OH to Edward B. Beiter (1861-1920) & Pauline Bimeler (1864-1946).
Rose married Dueber Sidney Cable (1888-1954) not sure which number wife she was he had several. She was a Sunday School Teacher.

Caroline Stockdale did not find marriage record.
Lovers too many one for sure we know of was Theresa Ludwig who killed herself in 1938.
Dueber and his brother Austin Brant Cable were contractor's and were very well off and founders of the Lake Cable community in in Canton, OH. Their parents were Sidney Cable & Catherine Van Norstrom. Austin was married at least twice as I could find.
On 11 Mar 1937, a Thursday night. Rose was standing in her kitchen when her 71-year-old mother heard a gunshot. It hit Rose in the head & neck, and she died in the hospital an hour later. Her case is still unsolved. I found the following newspaper articles.

Theresa Ludwig's car was seen Wednesday night & Thursday Night in the neighborhood of the Cable's house. She drove a green coupe one of many gifts Dueber had given her, in addition to an apartment he maintained for her in Akron, OH. Two high school girls said they saw her car that night.
The police questioned her and let her go, she complained that Dueber was spending too much time with his wife and spending too much money on her. (I shook my head at this).
I do not know if Theresa did it, or if there was another car that looked like hers or if someone else was driving her car.
I am not sure why they have the head line as mystery ends because the murder of Rose was not solved.
Carbon monoxide poisoning, she left her car on was found under it in her sisters garage. Dueber gave her the boot, guess seven years and a dead wife was enough.

Such a sad case that it was never solved, Theresa seemed to be unhinged with jelousy and greed, which are good motives. But considering Dueber was a rich contractor beside other things it really could of been any one. Why a shotgun? it would have a big re-coil and if Theresa did shot it she would of been knocked back. Also with a shot gun you have to be close unlike a rifle. Where is this shotgun? the police never said it was left behind.
