David Samuel Nixon was born 21 Mar 1877 in Marion County, OR, to Moses Nixon (1838-1883) and Cordelia Ruth Williams (1849-1936). He married Jessie Agnes Vanderford on 4 Aug 1902 in Castle Rock, WA. They had one child: Ida May Nixon 1903-1988. Jessie divorced David in 1910 and re-married to Andrew Lawson Boosa they were married until death do them part. She died 1 Sep 1962 in Yakima, WA.
