Henry "Zell" Gazelle Morris: Robbery

Henry "Zell" (as he was called) Gazelle Morris was born 6 Oct 1869 in Utah to James Henry Morris (1849-1912) and Kezziah Savage (1848-1933). His father of good reputation was a blacksmith in Missoula, MT in 1880.

At age 26 he and his mining partner Jesse Coleman got themselves into some trouble.

There was a prison break at quarry and both men ran. Both men were caught.

They both got their sentenced commuted.

After Zell gets out of prison he goes to Montana and gets married to Lily Ethel Poindexter (188-1915) and they have a son Victor Frank Morris 1908-1961 (He's called Frank). Lily becomes sick and Zell takes her to the west coast for a short while and brings her back home where she dies in 1915 and is buried in the Victor, MT Cemetery.

On 24 Dec 1921 Zell married Mrs. Doris Tilley (Doris Lenora Engberth) 1897-1946.

Zell died 13 Nov 1940 in Missoula, MT and as far as I can tell he was never arrested again and was a pillar to his community.

Zell took on the trade as blacksmith just like his father.

Zell's mother Kezziah Savage

Kezziah Savage and her 2 sons I almost positive the old one is Zell as I only found 2 sons, the other would be William Morris 1878-1958. I do not know who originally shared this photo.

A happy ending.
