Nazario Alarid: Murder

Nazario Alarid was born 18 Nov 1880 in Santa Fe, NM to Canuto Alarid and Inez Ortiz. They are listed in the 1880 census.

Nasario Alarid – An New Mexico outlaw, he was finally captured and sentenced to 99 years in prison on September 17, 1906.

Seem interesting that he was marked as an outlaw. He had an Uncle Ricardo Alaird that was also a part of this feud and he also shot this sheriff/outlaw Camillo Martinez and was waiting in jail for sentencing when Nazario kills him. I read in a newspaper article it was over a women and a man named Roman Garcia was also shot and killed. Nazario was married to Rebecca Garcia they had several children. I am guessing she had something to do with all this.

There are many articles addressing these issues and I attached them all to his tree, I am only posting a few that are legible on here.

I believe this is Nazario's Uncle running for sheriff.

I looked for more information and there are a few other trees for him but none of this information is attached and neither is his Uncle. I would like to find out more.

  3. Nazario's Nephew, Canuto Alarid-Son of his brother Benito, would ultimately commit 3 separate murders between the 1920's and 1979. You should be able to find them in the records of the Santa Fe New Mexican and Albuquerque Journal.
