I only found one census record I know is him while he was in San Quentin in 1910. Says his parents were born in Rhode Island.
I feel Charles was a ramblin man, he was
homeless and if there would of been homeless shelters back then he might not have stole things. I feel bad for him. I would of put on a pot of coffee and fed him and listened to the stories he would tell. I am very sure he had loads of them. Where was his family? He was so lonely. I bet he cried often.
