John H McCarty was born 30 Dec 1881 California to Cornelius McCarty a Civil War Veteran (1838-1914) and Hanora (Unknown) (1843-1903).

Sadly I never found any prison records for him or Asylum records.  He was buried with his family in Castroville Public Cemetery in Moss Landing, CA.

Sad story.
