Stephen Ballew (Ballou) was the son of Ann Golden, she couldn't have children and adopted him.
Stephen Ballou was a handsome, dark young man with a soldierly air about him and lace at his wrists, and he rode tall in the saddle. Had a way with the ladies. Stole many a heart.
He rode his horse to his mother's families home, Jonathan Golden. A farm that was a rich with resources. He was soldier and a gambler.
Stephen marries Jonathan's daughter Clara.
