McCourt was in the Washington State Prison during the 1930 & 1940 Census, but I did find this record for him in California.

The three young men went on a robbery spree committing over 30 robberies and shot Gorge P Hardgrove while attempting to rob his store and a police officer named Emery R Sherard. The police officer dies and George had to have his leg amputated.

James Francis McCourt would die 4 Nov 1966 in San Francisco, CA. He had married Grace A Borberg in 1954 in San Francisco, CA.

They messed up big time and I believe each of them knew it except James McCourt, He was a troubled kid from the get go and would be in trouble all his life, sad. I wonder how their families dealt with all this.
