Franklin D McAuliffe was born in California between 1885 & 1897, As I found 2 men with the same name. HIs parents were Cornelius C McAuliffe & Mary Bernard.
He had a younger sister named Mabel.
There were accomplices with him during the robberies and shooting, which he was not the shooter. The other 3 men (all were only 17) all plead guilty so they had no trial, McAuliffe wouldn't plead guilty and went to trial and all received life in prison, but as you will see below by the other's mugshots they were all paroled and have dates, poor Franklin doesn't.
These man were all at San Quentin while Franklin was at Folsom.
Franklin's sister begged for her brother's release:

I am not sure if Franklin ever got out of prison I found 2 Franklin (Frank) death dates on in 1966 and one in 1968. No marriage records at all. Franklin was a Baker while he was in Folsom Prison, as of the 1920 census he was still there.
Whats really sad is that each and every one of these guys had great potential at their occupations one was a butcher, one was an apprentice Engineer, apprentice Plumber. What a waste. The 3 others were all out of prison in 1919.
