Willie was a Cherokee Indian married Mina Marie Jackson (1903-1996) on 8 Jun 1919 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. They had a daughter named Ruby 1920-1998.
He spent his whole life in Oklahoma, except for the few years he was in the war, he enlisted 21 Apr 1917 and was discharged 29 Mar 1919. He was a Pvt. in Co. A 16th Inf. 42 Company 11 REC 8n.
On 3 Mar 1919 he would go to Agamemnon-Hoboken N J and board a ship not just any ship but a Battleship the HMS Agamemnon headed for Brest,France and would arrive on 11 March 1919, and off to war he went.
He may have survived WWI but would he survive from himself?
1915 was the first sign of trouble which was before the War.
