Tracy Smith LaMoyne: Violating National Banking Laws

Tracy Smith LaMoyne was born 10 Oct 1889 in Texas to R. F. Lamoyne (1865-1900) & Margaret Smith (1868-1927).

He was married twice, first to Fannette White (1891-1963)in March of 1911 and they had a son. Tracy Smith LaMoyne (1913-1946). SHe divorced him and married Curtis Fishburn and their son took Fishburn as his name surname.

By 1918 he was married to Lucillie Gibbens (1897-1974), they also had a son, Felix Gen LaMoyne (1918-2011). HIs Father- In- law R. A. Gibbens was indicided with him on the criminal charges but didn't receive any prison time, he was up for the position of United State Marshal in Shreveport, LA.  Embezzlement of $8,000, Looks like Tracy was the fall guy and everyone was pointing the finger at him including his father-in-law. Tracy pleaded guilty.


Tracy would put a gun to head on 1 Sep 1930 in Vernon, LA and blow his brains out.

Something interesting I found is that Tracy's first wife Fannette, her father was Judge William Mack White and later the Mayor, He also died 10 March 1930 in Dallas, TX.



I wish I would of found a photo of Tracy, I bet he was a very distinguished gentleman, at least before he landed in prison.
