He was a miner. He died most likely in San Quentin 8 Sep 1897. I didn't find any newspaper articles or death record or Find A Grave Memorial. I will assume that Jeremiah Sullivan was also a miner. So what happened to William's nose? I sure you are dying to know, well sorry I have no clue, maybe it was in the struggle when he killed Jeremiah or maybe he had leprosy and his nose was falling off. Either way it is really sad, and when I came across his mugshot that was the whole reason I wanted to write his story. I ended up having more questions than answers and we will just to wait for the answers. I made him a tree and hopefully a descendant will have some answers.

    The dates, and middle name are different. To me it looks possible with the pictures.

  2. No the find a grave is not him his middle name starts with a "W" he most likely died in prison...He died in California most likely in San Quentin he was sentenced 9 yrs...good try, thank you.
