This is where he was doing his counterfeiting, 520 40th Street in Oakland, CA. Although 520 no longer exists, this is where the place would of been.

He married 2nd to Marion "Mammie" Hultman (1882-) no idea when he married eth of them. he had 2 daughters with 2nd wife. Grace Hazel Vliet (1896-1975) & Dorothea L Vliet (1912-1974).

He was arrested again in 1925 for slander.

This was the only article I found for his slander charge.

His partner in the counterfeiting gig was Henry Detrick Peele he was born in Kentucky in Sep 1854. He was a music teacher.

Inmate: #18186 San Quentin Prison
Rec: 22 Apr 1899
Crime: Counterfeiting
Term: 2 yrs

He first married in Iowa 17 Sep 1884 to Julia A Milke.

He was 50 years old when he married Flora Custer a widow in 1908.

They divorced in 1920

Henry died of Smallpox at age 70 on 26 Apr 1926 in Stockton, CA.

He taught music and he was a composer, he tuned violins and pianos.

1912 Stockton, CA

1918 Stockton, CA

I lived in stockton for 2 years my grandmother, uncles and Aunts lived there. I love to visit.

I did not find any criminal activity after their crimes and seems they both had relationship problems. They were counterfeiting dollar coins as back then they would of been a lot easier to counterfeit than paper money.
