1933 article:

Here are a few more of his Leavenworth records:

He applied for an emergency application for his son John to return home from Lizi Slovenia with his brother Peter Fugina (John SR.'s brother). Why was he here all by himself at such a young age? This is dated 1921.

He was transferred to McNeil Island Federal Prison off the coast of Washington, as Inmate #6041 Being discharged in 1928.

According to the 1933 newspaper article he got 25 years for that counterfeiting stint. I didn't find any records for that one. I didn't find any census records for him either. There were was a John Fugina in Brooklyn in 1930, but I didn't find a 1940 census.

I wonder if he died in prison, 25 years is a long time and I am sure he was there at least 10 or more years.
