Lee would die in Folsom Prison on 7 Oct 1951 at age 74, and was buried in the prison cemetery. The Memorial link for him on Find-A-Grave is below.

He had arrived in California in 1932 and was a fruit picker at the time he murdered Sherman Keenon. But what was he doing before that. I did not find him in the 1940 census for California, did he lie? I found a L.W. Baird in the 1930 census in Nashville, TN in the state hospital, could this be him? We may never know.
