John H Pyers took a butcher knife and cut his wife's throat so severely it was almost severed. The police found a freshly dug hole in the back yard. Joh shot himself with a gun.

I found a couple trees but no one had this story. Was it covered up as a horrible secret? Why did he kill her? Was she sick? Was he fed up, or was he sick mentally?
He had been married before and a few kids. He had married Sarah Jane Gotschall 9 Feb 1888, they had the following children.

Maybe a family has this story and will share it with us. This all happened at Christmas, what a horrible event to mark and tar a Holiday that should be about caring and giving.
