Herman Gallagher: Murder For His Dad's Land

Herman Gallagher was born in 1848 in Clinton, Indiana, to William Wallace Gallagher (1822-1876) & Mary Foos (1829-1856).

Herman lived in Pino, CA at the time of his crime.

 Theodore Wilson was a school teacher who had a wife and built a modest home on a tract of land he had. The same tract that Herman's father William filed a soldier's warrant for, but he died before the claim went through, and Herman wasn't very happy to lose his father's land. Herman would die many years later still in prison. He died 12 Jul 1935 in Folsom Prison and is buried in the their cemetery.
