Alfred Merritt Loomis was born 26 Dec 1901 in Newark, New Jersey. He was a seaman for a while in 1950 I found a crew list for him, he ported in Portland, OR the was ship was Mount Mansfield.
They had another brother Harold Warner who was born14 Feb 1900in Springfield, MA. If you notice his name in the newspaper clipping at the beginning he was stealing mail along with his brother Harold at a young age. He must of gotten his act together because he was working at the Remington plant in 140's when he filled out his WWII draft Card,
They also had a sister Martha Loomis.
Alfred ended up in Alcatraz 4 Sep 1934 for counterfeiting

Remarkable they lived that long with all the things they had gone through.
