Edward Isaac Hamm: Missing Oakland, CA 1928

Edward Isaac Hamm was born 17 May 1890 in Wyoming, to Phillip Hamm (1856-1911) & Clara Amelia Meuzell (1865-1949).

The wanted poster has more information than the newspaper articles, but I did notice a death index for him declaring him dead 9 Nov 1928, the same date they have him disappearing. See Ancestry link below for death index record.

Also I found a passenger list for Apr 1928 he was coming back as a crew member getting off in Vancouver, WA, I am almost sure that is him, see image below.

His WWI Draft Card proves I have the right guy as his mom Clara is listed and this gives us his birth information as well.

The newspaper articles say he had 2 paychecks on the table he had not cashed, he only carried $75 on him at the time.

A mystery tied up into a mystery, I do not believe he was ever found and that grave is most likely empty. If anyone finds out otherwise please post in the comments to let us know. It would be nice to see what happened to Edward, his poor mother was worried with grief.
