I am wondering if his birthdate was wrong on his death record as I found a WWII Draft Card that I believe could be him.
as does his WWI Draft Card and his description also matches his jail record.
If this is him his parents would of been James f. Murphy & Johanna.
I did not find a Memorial for him on Find A Grave.
Was he addicted to the spirits of the drink and is this what caused him to spiral out of control and lose his family? Or was he just a lonely drunk that wandered through life burying a secret hurt inside his soul he didn't want to remember? In either case it's rather sad. One never knows the hurt and pain others bury deep inside of their souls.
