 Vettelene Ormenta "Betty" Williams was born May 1896 in California to Claude Jones Williams (1857-1942) & Minerva McClure (1871-1953).

Boy oh boy do I have a story for you. But first Betty's back story. She married William Warren Klenzendorf (1894-1952) in Dec of 1914. They had 2 children Cordelia (1916-1972) & Everett 1915-1937.

They would divorce and Warren as he was called would marry Nettie Alice Miller 16 Apr 1931 a divorcee with 3 sons who would divorce him Feb 1938.

Betty's Trial for murder of Otis Ebeoy Carr her boyfriend she had been living with for the past 2 years is dead and married to another women!

Everett Levi Warren Klenzendorf had a really bad accident while he was attending high school at the Shasta Union High School, he sawed off several fingers in shop class.

After his mother is sent away to prison he does the unthinkable.

So sad, he was planning on getting married to Barbara Croissant. He took cyanided and that was not an easy death, he suffered.

Otis married Ruth Jacoby 23 Jan 1936, you would think he would of told his live in girlfriend he was getting married or break up with her. What was the real story and why did so many people lie on the stand and no one was charged with perjury? Meanwhile Betty goes to prison until sometime before she married yet again, to Oscar Jerome Berghagen on 11 Jul 1939in Jackson, Oregon but they live in Redding, CA yet again she is back home where she dies 15 Apr 1973 a year after her daughter dies.

Cordelia married Otis' brother Robert Carr in Jun 1935, they would divorce and she would later marry Herbert W. Johnson and they would have 2 children a boy and a girl.

This story has so many twists and turns and mind blowing effects of drama one would think it was a story of fiction. Nope it is a true story and all these people lived it.
